That is why we deliberately design our climate protection projects to be concrete and openly traceable

Our certificate deliberately and clearly bears the designation ‘Financial Climate Contribution’. This term stands for transparency, honesty and a responsible approach to climate protection.
We do not claim to be emission-free – we openly state what we do: we make a measurable financial contribution to climate protection.

At the same time, we do not view climate protection as a mere compensatory measure, but rather as a continuous improvement process within our company. That is why we are constantly working to reduce our own environmental impact and act more sustainably – day by day.

These include, among others:

Visiting customers by public transport, whenever possible and appropriate.
The consistent reduction of packaging materials.
The use of packaging that complies with European CCG standards has a positive impact on environmental aspects throughout the entire logistics chain.

Workplace ergonomics must not be neglected either, through clearly defined weight and size limits for parcels.

These measures show that our commitment does not end with our contribution to climate protection. We are continuously improving our processes – ecologically, economically and socially.

We see climate protection as a global responsibility. That is why we invest our financial contribution to climate protection where it has a measurable impact, provides sustainable support and has long-term positive ecological and social effects.

We have deliberately chosen climate protection projects in Kenya and India, as the funds invested there can achieve a particularly high climate impact.

In these regions, significantly higher CO₂ savings can be achieved with comparatively low financial investment than in already heavily regulated European markets.
At the same time, the projects make an important contribution to sustainable development locally. The use of modern, efficient technologies not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but also improves the health, quality of life and working conditions of the local population.

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an EU climate policy instrument. A transition phase with reporting requirements has been in effect since 1 October 2023. CBAM has been fully in force since 2026.

Lüning Ladenbau has been CBAM-compliant from the outset. We reviewed, adapted and transparently structured our processes at an early stage – because for us, responsibility is more than just an obligation.

Today, we are an approved CBAM registrant and thus meet all regulatory requirements for the compliant import of affected goods into the European Union.

For our customers, this means a reliable partner who takes responsibility – even where it is not immediately visible.
